One person was sent to the hospital yesterday as two trailer homes caught fire and kept Grand Island Firefighters busy for several hours.
Grand Island Fire Chief Corey Schmidt tells KRGI News that emergency responders received the call at about 2:45 Thursday Afternoon near HWY 34 and De Ann.
Chief Schmidt says while they got the fire out quick, several obstacles provided several problems. Neighbor Lupe Partida called 911 and she says the fire started outside of the home.
Chief Schmidt says one Grand Island woman was injured and taken to St. Francis Medical Center to be checked out. No word on a cause as of yet.
