Governor: G-I still leads Vet's Home race

Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman said he still feels Grand   Island has the upperhand when it comes to the location of a new Central Nebraska Veteran’s Home.  The Governor appeared live on the KRGI Morning Show Friday and said he is proud of the four cities in the running to be host to a new veteran’s home. He said the bid process was competitive and remained positive with each city exhorting the positives of their proposal. Heineman said he expects the evaluation process to last another two to three weeks.
