Banking Executive Announces Candidacy for US Senate

Over one hundred people came to Dinsdale Brothers in Palmer Monday to hear from and support a local businessman announce his candidacy to run for the US Senate.

Sid Dinsdale became Nebraska's newest candidate to throw is hat in the ring, saying he wants to bring Nebraska values to Washington.

Dinsdale tells KRGI News that he wants to get involved for many reasons, namely to help businesses flourish.

Dinsdale says, "I'm very frustrated with the intrusion into our lives that the government continues to do and they seem to be growing in that area. I want to do what I can do to put a stop to that."

Dinsdale now joins the race against Omaha Attorney Bart McLeay, Former State Treasurer Shane Osborn, and Midland University President Ben Sasse of Fremont.

All are seeking to take over for Senator Mike Johanns who announced he will step down after his term ends next year.
