Two Gibbon Primates Recovered In Florida

Two Gibbon primates that were taken from Doniphan this week have been recovered in Florida by law enforcement.

 

Hall County Sheriff Jerry Watson says the primates were recovered in Fort Meyers, Florida and both are alive and well.

 

20-year-olds Jacob and Michael Ruehlman were charged in Florida with possession of stolen property Other federal charges could follow.

 

The brothers were listed persons of interest by the primate's owner, Nancy Stephens. Stephens is now making arrangements to have the primates sent back to Nebraska.

 

Burglary charges against both suspects are pending.
