One Arrested In Connection To Juniata Machete Attack

The Adams County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that a man is in custody related to a stabbing incident in south-central Nebraska over the weekend.

58-year-old Roberto Maza-Surbiadur has been charged with 2nd degree assault related to a possible stabbing Sunday near the 200 block of East 10th Street in Juniata.

Reports say argument between two people turned into a fight involving a machete and another weapon, sending the victim to the hospital.

The victim was taking Mary Lanning in Hastings while the suspect fled the scene. Maza-Surbiadur will be arraigned Monday.
