CNHS Project Gets Put On National Priority List

People in Kearney got good news yesterday as the state Department of Health and Human Services got word that the Central Nebraska Veterans Home was put on the national priority list...making them eligible for federal funding.

The project is listed as #22 on the top 25 list. Director John Hilgert says, "We are hopeful that federal funding will become available in the near future allowing the Central Nebraska Veterans Home project to move forward.

He goes on to say, "This project is a priority to Nebraska, because our veterans deserve a safe and modern home for their service to our country."

The Central Nebraska Veterans Home is expected to go under construction in the next couple of years.
