Small changes to Nebraska's TEEOSA education formula was discussed in detail yesterday in the Nebraska Unicameral, with some questioning which districts should get more and which can do with less.
LB 725 was introduced by Education Committee Chairwoman and Cedar Rapids State Senator Kate Sullivan. When introducing the bill, she says the state's school districts deserve some help from the legislature.
Speaker Greg Adams of York supports the bill and he says the bill would be the best choice for Nebraska students.
Papillion State Senator Bill Kitner says while he isn't against the bill per say, he says some money needs to go back to those who need it...the taxpayer.
LB 725 took up most of the legislature's time yesterday and passed to the next round for debate.
