Homeless Man Accused of Robbing A Gas Station In GI

A man accused of robbing a Grand Island convenience store on the southern side of town has been arrested by Grand Island Police.

 

Captain Dean Elliot tells KRGI News that 28-year-old Bryan Mascola was arrested for robbery and unlawful taking early Saturday morning after he entered the Pump and Pantry near the 3200 block of South Locust Street.

 

Elliot says Mascola had his hand in his pocket, insinuating he had a weapon. He demanded the clerk open the safe, but the clerk said he no way to open it. Elliot then says Mascola took a tray of Cinnabuns and fled the scene.

 

When asked for a reason why he robbed the store, he said he was hungry. He was later apprehended at L.E. Ray Lake in Grand Island.
