Downtown officials tour GI's Federal Building

Economic development officials, chamber representatives and downtown business leaders got a tour Thursday of one of Grand Island’s historic downtown buildings. Hall County Supervisor Gary Quandt set up the tour of the soon to be vacant Federal Building that Hall County may have use for.

Quandt said he will ask his fellow supervisors to send a letter to the federal government expressing the county’s interest in obtaining the buildinng.  Quandt said that those that took the tour were all impressed with the maintenance and upkeep of the building. He said the location of the building and its physical condition make it a viable option in solving space needs of several agencies.
