New building coming to Nebraska State Fair

The Nebraska State Fair plans to hold a press conference Friday to announce and outline future building and infrastructure projects for 2013. Friday’s announcement will be at 11am on Friday, in the Exhibition Building Foyer at Fonner Park in Grand Island. State Fair Board members are prepared to announce plans for an administration building to be built on the campus of the State Fair. The proposal is for the building to be built along the main State Fair drive just east of the Law Enforcement Memorial.

The Nebraska State Fair’s move from Lincoln to Grand  Island in 2010 was at the completion of a $42 million building project that included a total of 6 buildings:

Five Points Bank Arena

Cattle Barn

Sheep Barn

Swine Barn

Exhibition Building

4H/FFA Building
The Nebraska State Fair board-of-directors is cognizant of the future needs of the fairgrounds to better enhance the fairgoer experience.
